Erin Larkin
65/30/5% cabernet sauvignon/merlot/cabernet franc. The nose here is just gorgeous – it's got that earthy, cassis-laden, tobacco leaf and cigar-box character that classically styled cabernet can do so well. Alluring. In the mouth this is brambly and expansive in its display of forest fruits and secondary spice (think along the lines of dried bay leaf, oregano, black peppercorns, jasmine tea and a dusting of cocoa), while being suggestive of fresh leather and resinous oak. Certainly drinking well now, but at 7 years of age, it is approaching its peak window of pleasure.

Mike has heaped glowing praise on the last couple of vintages.
Rich and ripe, blackberry, currant and fig, aniseed and pencils. Medium to full bodied, ample flavour fills the mouth, dark chocolate and dark cherry, tobacco and earth, oak in a positive and supporting role, balanced acidity, grainy high cocoa chocolate tannin, and a long dry finish. Bold but very good.
