Domaine Vincent Paris Granit 60, Cornas

Domaine Vincent Paris is one of Cornas's most respected names, and Granit 60 reflects both the steep, granite slopes of the appellation and Paris's thoughtful, restrained winemaking. The vines, around 60 years old, are rooted deep into the hard, decomposed granite that defines this part of the Northern Rhône, yielding low quantities of intensely flavoured Syrah. Fermentation occurs with minimal intervention, and the wine spends about a year in used oak barrels to preserve purity and structure rather than imparting oak flavour.

Each vintage delivers dark fruit, pepper, and a firm mineral line typical of Cornas, with a depth that unfolds over time. The palate combines concentration and freshness, framed by fine tannins and the savoury complexity of old vines and careful élevage. This is a benchmark Cornas: authentic, ageworthy, and an eloquent expression of site and grower.
