Serrat Close Planted Shiraz Viognier
Serrat is the brainchild of Tom and Nadège Carson. Tom has been a formidable presence in Victoria's winemaking scene since 1996. Their small, Burgundian-inspired private label, Serrat, has garnered a strong reputation for quality in Australia. The Serrat Shiraz Viognier, cultivated in their close-planted Yarra Glen vineyard, draws inspiration from the renowned wines of Côte-Rôtie. Achieving a balance between elegance and power, it has swiftly gained recognition as one of the country's most sought-after examples of the shiraz viognier blend. Expect blueberry, lilac, iodine, pepper grind and clove, with an underlying burr of smoked meats. The wine is a testament to Tom and Nadège's dedication to exceptional winemaking, featuring a shiraz block planted in 2003.
