Clive Paton founded Ata Rangi in 1980 on the Martinborough Terrace with cuttings that have since become some of New Zealand's most celebrated pinot noir vines. The estate wine is the benchmark for the region: complex, silky and possessed of a structure that rewards genuine cellaring.
