Expert Review
Ned Goodwin MW
"A very light ruby with edges of brick, this is a (slightly) aged release to demonstrate the capacity for development of the estate's wines. 20% new oak and a smidgeon of whole bunch in the ferment galvanise notes of wood smoke, orange zest, crushed strawberry and Indian spice. This will hold for the mid-term, but is already at its apogee. Delicious drinking!"

"It looks light but the palate has plenty of punch. Indeed there’s a smidgen of warmth here. Twig, woodsmoke and spice notes step through ripe, cherry-plum flavours. Infelctions of orange peel and anise keep the exotic theme going. It has the tannin and overall structure to age but I’d reckon it’s good to go now."

"The colour is a bright medium red with a good tint of purple, the bouquet sweetly cherry-fruited with a rose-petal and strawberry lift. The wine is deliciously fruit-sweet and succulent, with lushness and charm to burn. It's utterly superb to drink now and for several years hence."
