About this wine

Beautifully structured and refined, Dawson & James Pinot Noir is a compelling expression of single vineyard Tasmanian Pinot Noir.

“Wine that’s made for love, not profit”
- James Halliday

The grapes are sourced from the Meadowbank vineyard, a unique and protected site on the upper Derwent River. Elegant and savoury with abundant dark cherry and hints of forest floor, it ranks among the finest examples of modern Australian Pinot Noir.

ABOUT THE WINERY
Dawson & James
Dawson & James is the realisation of a shared dream between long-time friends Peter Dawson & Tim James. Both are former Hardy’s winemakers who now run successful wine consultancies. The pair has long held the desire to grow and make wine in Tasmania, a dream realised with their first vintage in 2010. Two wines are made under the label; a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir sourced from the Meadowbank vineyard on the upper Derwent River. The site was chosen by the pair for it’s potential to make world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. From their first vintage both wines have met with great critical acclaim.
