Bass Phillip Premium Pinot Noir
The idiosyncratic, biodynamic and greatly admired Bass Phillip Premium Pinot Noir is aged in French Allier barriques for 18 months. In a nutshell, this is a defining Victorian pinot noir. Uplifting and memorable, this multitudinous wine reflects an obsession with terroir, founded on a low-cropping, four-hectare vineyard site at Leongatha. Laissez-faire principles are the mainstay, yet meticulous timing to nature’s rhythms and a biodynamic approach result in sheer beauty. Black cherry, floral and game aromas, supple viscosity and underlying toasty oak unravel after five to eight years of bottle ageing.
