Brokenwood Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz
Brokenwood’s Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz reigns supreme in Hunter Valley’s shiraz lineage, reminiscent of Lindemans' revered 1960s Hunter River burgundies. Embodying the vineyard's distinctiveness and regional essence, it ages gracefully while embracing modernity and tradition with an invigorating zest. Stemming from Maurice O’Shea’s groundbreaking work and the vision of winemaking pioneers, these colonial-stock vines flourish in red clay over loam, enriched with ironstone pockets. Since its 1983 debut, this Shiraz, sourced from the oldest plantings, boasts a meticulous selection process. With a low yield, its berries offer rich hues and intense flavours, matured for up to 14 months in a blend of new and seasoned French oak.
