Biodynamic viticulture, laissez-faire winemaking, and meticulous attention to detail give the Castagna Genesis Syrah a strong authentic personality embedding it into the pantheon of Australia’s most Rhône-like articulations. Co-fermented with viognier, vinification is followed by maturation in tightly grained new and seasoned French oak for 18 to 24 months. A highly scented, beautifully defined style boasting scents of boysenberry, white pepper, clove, nori and lilac, with smoked meats defining an umami warmth, richness and length.
