Consistently trading at Grand Cru prices, it is one of those wines where the official classification simply cannot keep pace with the reality of the wine in the glass. Silky, perfumed and profoundly complex, it represents the apotheosis of Chambolle's particular genius for seduction. The name, for once, is entirely appropriate.
