E.Guigal La Turque, Côte-Rôtie

One of Guigal's three legendary single-vineyard "La La" wines, La Turque is perhaps the most dramatic and powerful of the trio. Sourced from a precipitous terraced vineyard on the Côte Brune, it is aged in new oak for 42 months and produced in tiny quantities from a single hectare. It is among the most concentrated and long-lived syrahs made anywhere in the world. Secondary market prices reflect what collectors already know: this is one of the Northern Rhône's irreplaceable benchmarks.
