Best's Great Western Bin 0 Great Western Shiraz

Best's Great Western Bin 0 Great Western Shiraz

Best’s Great Western has crafted shiraz since the late 1800s, however, the origins of the first Bin 0 Shiraz have been lost to time. We do know that ‘Bin 0’ has adorned labels for over a century. Sourced from low-yielding blocks in the historic Concongella vineyard, including 19th and mid-20th-century plantings, Bin 0 embodies intense, low-yield vines. Hand-selected and fermented in small batches, the wine matures in the finest barrels in Best’s underground cellar. As an age-worthy style, Bin 0 stands as the iconic representation of Great Western Shiraz, internationally acclaimed among Australia’s finest.

About Best's Great Western

Best’s Great Western has been owned by two families since 1866 (with the first wines produced in 1868) – the founding Best family and the Thomson family, who purchased the property in 1920. Best’s is now run by fifth-generation Ben Thomson. The vineyards at Best’s were planted in the late 1860s and are amongst the oldest and rarest pre-phylloxera plantings in the world.
