Henschke Hill Of Grace Shiraz

Henschke Hill Of Grace Shiraz

Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz reigns as Australia’s iconic single vineyard wine, rooted in Parrot Hill since 1860, passing through generations to the Henschke family. Cyril Henschke crafted the inaugural vintage in 1958, honouring the centenary of the Gnadenberg Lutheran Church. Though it began as a village wine, it took nearly three decades for its fame, attributed to Stephen and Prue Henschke's unwavering dedication. Biodynamic practices govern the four-hectare, ungrafted vineyard, dry-grown on varied soils. Handpicked before Easter's full moon, the wine ferments submerged in wax-lined concrete fermenters, then matures in new and seasoned French and American oak hogsheads for 18 months.
