John Duval Plexus Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre

John Duval Plexus Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre

John Duval’s Plexus Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre, with its interlaced parts and characters, is a retro-modern style borrowing from traditional winemaking techniques. These include partial barrel fermentation of shiraz parcels and maturation in new (10%) and seasoned French oak hogsheads and puncheons. Sourced primarily from mature vineyards (principally in the Tanunda, Light Pass and Ebenezer districts of the Barossa), this wine is exemplified by dark and red berry fruits, espresso notes, attractive volume and density. As the former winemaker of Penfolds Grange, Duval is a master of polished exactitude.
