Moss Wood Moss Wood Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon

Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon, a Margaret River icon, echoes the region's essence with its aromatic grandeur and classical structure. Established in 1969 by Doctor Bill and Sandra Pannell, its inaugural 1973 release of 250 dozen bottles heralded its celebrated legacy for graceful ageing. The 15-hectare dry-grown vineyard, managed by Keith Mugford and Clare, prioritises sustainable practices for optimal fruit. A blend primarily of cabernet sauvignon (95%), with traces of cabernet franc (4%) and petit verdot (1%), undergoes meticulous handpicked fermentation and 24 months' maturation in French oak. Intensely perfumed with cassis and cedar, this weighty wine evolves, revealing earthy complexities and supple nuances over time.

About Moss Wood
