The refined and beautiful Mount Mary estate-grown chardonnay is a pioneer of the contemporary chardonnay aesthetic. Typically barrel fermentation and maturation take place in 30% new French oak, older barriques and puncheons with regular bâttonage. This age-worthy classic possesses nectarine, pear and grapefruit aromas, lanolin nuances and fresh minerally textures (an absence of malolactic fermentation preserves the natural acid balance) developing breadth and complexity with age.

Mount Mary, revered among oenophiles, stems from Dr. John Middleton's vision. Acquired in 1971, the estate's original vineyard sprouted in 1972.
