Mount Mary Pinot Noir

Mount Mary Pinot Noir

Mount Mary's original pinot noir vines, sourced from Western Victoria in 1971, blend various clones predating individual selections. Newer plantings (including MV6, 777, and 115 clones) complement the mix on American rootstocks. Revered in Australian winemaking, Mount Mary Pinot Noir stands as a coveted gem due to its limited production and overwhelming demand, securing its place among exclusivity. The winemaking process involves an 8-10 day fermentation and 16 months in 25% new French oak barriques. Minimal fining and filtration preserve the wine's pristine, unaltered character, cementing its allure.

About Mount Mary

Mount Mary, revered among oenophiles, stems from Dr. John Middleton's vision. Acquired in 1971, the estate's original vineyard sprouted in 1972. Dr. Middleton, an advocate for finesse, imprinted an unconventional spirit. Today, David Middleton continues the legacy, crafting Quintet, Triolet, chardonnay, and pinot noir—each bearing refined elegance.
