Penfolds Reserve Bin A Chardonnay
Penfolds Reserve Bin A Chardonnay has been, at the time of Classification, one of the most exciting wines in the Penfolds stable vintage after vintage. It has been on a long journey to stand amongst some of the finest chardonnays produced in Australia. A single-region wine, the fruit is now sourced only from Adelaide Hills, which has long been the backbone of its rise to acclaim. Hand-picked grapes are gently whole-bunch-pressed, with a portion undergoing natural fermentation. Each French oak barrique, new or seasoned, becomes a 225-litre microcosm of flavours. Contemporary and expressive, Bin A achieves complexity through maturation on lees with regular bâttonage and 100% natural malolactic fermentation.
