Wynns Coonawarra Estate John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon
Wynns Coonawarra Estate, deeply rooted in the region's heritage, stands as a venerated wine producer, boasting extensive vineyards on classic terra rossa soils. Crafted from select parcels, the John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon eloquently expresses Coonawarra's terroir, climate nuances, and meticulous viticulture. Debuting in 1982 as Wynns' flagship, this wine is a testament to perfection, using less than one percent of top cabernet grapes. Revered akin to the 1962 Penfolds Bin 60A Cabernet Shiraz, it symbolises Coonawarra's essence, pivotal in shaping the region's viticultural prominence. Fermented to extract ripe tannins and flavours, it matures in French oak, up to 30% new, for 16 to 20 months, tailored to each vintage's unique characteristics.
