ABOUT THE WINERY
Alexander Vineyard
'Alexander Vineyard is a boutique Martinborough winegrowing operation owned by Michael Finucane and his wife Roz Walker. Joining the founders Kingsley and Deborah Alexander as working partners, Michael and Roz established their own 5 ha vineyard on Hinakura Road over 1997-1998 with 15,000 Pinot Noir and 750 Merlot vines all close-planted, and took over Alexander Vineyards in 2001. Michael and Roz finished their new winery at the vineyard site in time for the 2014 vintage. They are fully hands-on with the viticulture and winemaking, and have made a good number of high quality wines which have a loyal following.
