Grand Cru Chardonnay from the village of Chouilly is an inspired and incredibly well-made Champagne from this small house. The Champagne is a blend of: 25% Chardonnay de Chouilly Grand Cru, 40% Pinot Noir de Bisseuil Premier Cru and 35% Pinot Meunier de Damery – Vallée de la Marne. The base wine is from the 2017 vintage and the blend includes 45% reserve wine. AR Lenoble’s reserve wines are held in used, 225-litre, Burgundy barrels and since 2001 also in 5000-litre casks called foudres. Antoine has become increasingly conscious of the freshness that reserve wines can add to the blend that is bottle-fermented to make his Champagne.
