Argiano's Brunello di Montalcino Riserva represents the pinnacle of this historic Tuscan estate. Founded in 1580, Argiano is among the oldest producers in Montalcino, with its vineyards on the south-facing slopes where altitude, sunlight, and galestro soils yield Sangiovese of natural concentration and structure. Only in exceptional years is a Riserva produced, drawn from the finest parcels and aged for extended periods in large Slavonian and French oak casks before further bottle refinement.
The result is a wine of depth and clarity, showing Sangiovese's classic balance between red fruit, spice and savoury complexity. Expect aromas of cherry, dried herbs and cedar leading to a palate defined by firm, fine tannins and a long, mineral finish.
