Bannockburn Vineyards Pinot Noir, Geelong

Bannockburn Vineyards has been at the forefront of Geelong winegrowing since the 1970s, with a focus on producing wines that speak clearly of their site. The estate’s Pinot Noir is drawn from several estate blocks, including some of the region’s oldest plantings. Winemaker Matt Holmes works with minimal intervention, fermenting with indigenous yeasts and favouring whole bunch inclusion to bring structure and aromatic lift. The wine matures in French oak, a portion of which is new, adding depth without dominating the fruit.

Each vintage offers a distinctive expression of Geelong Pinot Noir, typically showing red and dark cherry aromas alongside savoury notes of spice and earth. The palate is finely structured, with a core of fruit framed by tannin and fresh acidity.
