About this wine

BAY OF FIRES Eddystone Point Pinot Noir, Tasmania

Showcasing the pristine cool climate of Tasmania, this Pinot expresses fruit intensity, refinement and persistence of flavour. Bay Of Fires' philosophy is to nurture elegance while developing the ripe flavour profiles and intense fruit characteristics evident in the individual vineyards. Basket pressing and separate handling of fruit parcels and ferments allow for a final blend of great complexity. This expression is an ideal balance of elegance, richness and depth of flavour.

ABOUT THE WINERY
Bay of Fires
Established in 2001, Bay of Fires is located in Northern Tasmania on the banks of the Piper River where the cool maritime climate is suited to the varieties of Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris. Whilst the cool climate is challenging, it allows for a long ripening period that contributes to the complex flavours and aromatics seen on their wines. Bay of Fires is part of the Accolade stable, where they source their fruit from all over Tasmania. The 2011 Pinot Noir won best red wine at Royal Sydney Wine Show 2013, sourced from 15 individual parcels throughout the region. The Bay of Fires philosophy is to highlight the diversity of the cool climate terroirs found in Tasmania.
