Beaux Freres FRERES Belles Soeurs Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley

The Belles Sœurs Pinot Noir sits at the heart of Beaux Frères, sourced from estate vineyards in the Ribbon Ridge AVA of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Planted on ancient marine sedimentary soils, the site is farmed with close attention to vine balance and low yields. The wine reflects a long partnership between the estate and Burgundian influence, shaped by a clear focus on site rather than scale.

Fermentation is carried out with a proportion of whole bunches, depending on the season, to build structure and aromatic lift. Ageing takes place in French oak barrels, with new oak used sparingly to frame the fruit. The approach is consistent, favouring detail and restraint over extraction.

The nose typically shows red cherry, cranberry and dried rose, with hints of forest floor and spice. On the palate, the wine is poised and persistent, offering bright red fruit, savoury undertones and fine, chalky tannins. Fresh acidity carries the finish, making the wine both immediate and capable of ageing.
