Created to mark two centuries of family winemaking, the Billecart-Salmon 200 Bicentenary Cuvée celebrates a rare milestone in Champagne. This release blends Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier from grands and premiers crus across the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs, regions that have defined the house since 1818. Crafted by Florent Nys, the wine reflects Billecart-Salmon's hallmark precision: fermentation in stainless steel for freshness, partial oak vinification for texture, and extended ageing on lees to build complexity.
The nose opens with notes of citrus peel, baked apple and patisserie, leading to a palate of bright orchard fruit, almond and chalk. The finish is long and poised, carrying the signature finesse for which Billecart-Salmon is renowned. More than a commemorative bottling, this cuvée captures two centuries of quiet refinement and continuity in one carefully balanced Champagne.
