About this wine

Bollinger PN VZ19, Champagne

Bollinger's PN series is a deep dive into the Maison's mastery of Pinot Noir, each edition built around a single cru and vintage. PN VZ19 focuses on Verzenay, a Grand Cru village on the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims. Its chalk soils and cool exposure yield fruit of fine tension and drive. The blend includes reserve wines aged in magnums for over 15 years, adding layers of complexity and texture. Fermentation takes place entirely in oak barrels, following Bollinger's long-established tradition, and the wine rests on lees for extended ageing before release.

In the glass, PN VZ19 opens with notes of red apple, hazelnut and citrus zest, unfolding to brioche and spice. The palate is taut and structured, showing Verzenay's hallmark precision and length. A pure expression of Pinot Noir, it continues Bollinger's exploration of terroir and time with assured style.

ABOUT THE WINERY
Bollinger
Established in 1829 by Jacques Bollinger and Paul Renaudin, Bollinger is one of the most renowned Champagne houses in the world. From 1941 until 1977, the business was run by Madame Lily Bollinger who significantly expanded the Champagne house’s vineyard holdings. Today it is managed by her great-nephew, Ghislain de Montgolfier. Bollinger’s house style is rich, complex and muscular, producing Pinot-Noir dominated Champagnes with compelling depth and power and longevity.
