BRUNO GIACOSA Azienda Agricola Falletto Asili di Barbaresco, Barbaresco DOCG 2023 Bottle
About this wine
Bruno Giacosa Azienda Agricola Falletto Asili di Barbaresco, Barbaresco
Asili sits at the apex of Barbaresco. In 1996, legendary producer Bruno Giacosa secured 2.5 hectares of this south-facing amphitheatre for his Azienda Agricola Falletto estate. Rooted in clay-calcareous soils, these vines yield Nebbiolo of rare focus and authority.
In the Neive cellar, winemaking favours balance and patience. The grapes undergo extended skin contact in stainless steel to extract fine structure, followed by 18 to 20 months of maturation in large French oak casks. This traditional regime builds longevity without obscuring the fruit.
The nose delivers wild red berries, fresh rose petals, orange peel, and dried herbs. On the palate, ripe red cherry and subtle spice pair with tight, silky tannins and bright natural acidity. It provides immediate elegance alongside decades of cellar potential.
