Castello di Neive’s Santo Stefano Riserva is drawn from one of Barbaresco’s most recognised single vineyards, first bottled under its name in the 1960s. The estate owns the heart of the cru, a steep, south-facing site on clay and limestone, managed entirely by hand. Fruit for the Riserva comes from older vines and is only produced in suitable vintages. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel, followed by extended ageing in large Slavonian oak casks and additional time in the bottle before release.
