ABOUT THE WINERY
Chambers Rosewood
Langton’s Selections
Chambers Rosewood Grand Muscat, Chambers Rosewood Rare Muscat
The Chambers Rosewood was established in 1858. The original vineyard was planted by German born Anthony Ruche. Bill Chambers – one of the great characters of the Australian wine industry and longstanding wine show judge – has now passed on the winemaking baton to Roseworthy trained son Stephen Chambers.
The overall offering of wines from this small wine producer is eclectic to say the least, from the bog standard flagon Sherries and cheap Rosewood non-vintage white to the sublime Chambers Rosewood Grand and Rare Muscats. These fortified elixirs are so extraordinary and so utterly ethereal that they go beyond great.
The US market has recently discovered these non-vintage fortified wines creating upward pressure on prices. Chamber’s Rosewood wines have often featured in Langton’s sales but the results are erratic to say the least.
