As the oldest established Champagne house, founded in 1729, Ruinart holds an unmatched pedigree in crafting balanced, Chardonnay-driven cuvées. R de Ruinart serves as the signature house blend, sourced primarily from Premier Cru vineyards across the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims.
Chef de Cave Frédéric Panaiotis crafts this blend using Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, incorporating up to 30% reserve wines. Fermentation occurs exclusively in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve purity, followed by at least three years' ageing on lees in ancient chalk cellars.
The nose delivers aromas of white peach, yellow pear, and fresh brioche. On the palate, crisp green apple meets hazelnuts and subtle toast, supported by fine effervescence and a dry, persistent finish.
