James Suckling
A very tannic and powerful red this year, with blueberry, walnut and stone character. Tar undertones. Full and chewy. Flavorful finish. A bit extracted, so needs time to soften. Try after 2028.

The 2020 Lassègue has a pure red cherry and raspberry scented bouquet, quite polished with a discrete savory background. The palate is sweet and plush on the entry, then it pulls everything back towards the detailed, marmalade-tinged mid-palate and a well-defined, lightly spiced finish that has just the right amount of sapidity. Impressive.
