CRAIGLEE Shiraz, Sunbury 2017 Bottle
About this wine
Craiglee Shiraz is a distinctive, southern-Victorian Shiraz. The historic, bluestone Craiglee winery, built in 1865, is at Sunbury, west of Melbourne. The 10-hectare vineyard is planted on alluvial river flats close to Jackson's Creek, a tributary of the Maribyrnong River, on sandy soils over river stones. Vinification takes place in open fermenters. A small portion is barrel-fermented. Maturation follows in new and old French oak for between 12 and 18 months.
