About this wine
Daniel Gómez Jiménez-Landi Las Uvas de la Ira Garnacha
Las Uvas De La Ira (The Grapes of Wrath) is Dani Landi’s village- style blend of Garnachas from several vineyards that sit 900 metres above sea level. The fruit comes from biodynamically grown, hand-tended 60-year-old vines on sandy soils (granite) in the Sierra de Gredos. The wine is made in the same way, with the same care, as Landi's 1er crus. Partial whole bunch, fermented using natural yeast and aged for 12 months in foudre.
The wine style is bright and juicy, showing vibrant red fruit on the nose and palate.

James Suckling
A perfumed nose of raspberries, redcurrants, black tea, cloves and dried herbs. Full-bodied with chalky tannins and vivid acidity. Fleshy and crunchy on the palate. Firm, but balanced, with a long, flavorful finish. Drinkable now, but better in 2023 and onwards.

Meaning literally ‘The Grapes of Wrath’, this wine is made from old-vine Garnacha sourced from four different vineyards high up in the Sierra de Gredos. It’s silky and refined with cherry, raspberry and strawberry fruit with smoothness. Utter elegance with some Bakewell tart and sweet liqueur cherry notes but also some balance from sour cherry. Low tannins and real smoothness. A touch of lavender too.
