Dog Point is a family owned boutique winery in Marlborough. The winery takes its name from an area in Marlborough that was inhabited by wayward dogs that became lost or wandered off while guarding flocks of sheep. All fruit is estate grown on north facing vineyards anchored on free-draining alluvial soils and richer heavier clay loams. Organic viticulture is practiced and the winery adheres to the New Zealand Sustainable Winegrowing Programme. Dog Point produces premium examples of both unoaked and barrel fermented styles of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
