Domaine Antoine Jobard, Pommard
Domaine Antoine Jobard made its name producing immaculate Meursault, but Antoine Jobard applies the same meticulous craft to red Burgundy. The core fruit comes from old vines in Les Petits Noizons, sitting high on the slope above the premier crus, alongside small village holdings. Hand-harvested grapes undergo natural fermentation with minimal extraction to preserve the site's vitality. Ageing takes place in French oak barrels with a light touch of new oak, preserving pure varietal character without heavy wood influence.
The nose opens with dark cherry, wild strawberry, violet and a touch of earth. The palate offers red fruit, fine-grained tannins, balanced acidity and a long, chalky finish. It delivers classic Pommard structure with rare elegance.
