domaine bruno clair
DOMAINE BRUNO CLAIR, Gevrey-Chambertin 2022 Bottle
About this wine
Domaine Bruno Clair, Gevrey-Chambertin
Domaine Bruno Clair draws on deep heritage in the Côte de Nuits, tracing its origins to the family's legacy with Domaine Clair-Daü. This Gevrey-Chambertin village cuvée comes from old vines planted on clay-limestone soils and is cultivated using organic farming principles without synthetic fertilisers.
Winemaking focuses on purity and structural balance. Bruno Clair ferments a portion of whole bunches in open wooden vats before ageing the wine for 18 to 20 months in French oak barrels, keeping new oak restrained to preserve the site's natural character.
Expect distinct aromas of wild red cherry, dark plum, and crushed violet. The palate delivers firm, fine-grained tannins with signature notes of forest floor, liquorice, and graphite. A classic, structured red Burgundy built to reward patience in the cellar.
