Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot, Mazis-Chambertin

Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot is among the most respected names in Gevrey-Chambertin, with holdings in the celebrated Grand Cru of Mazis-Chambertin. The domaine is family-run, with Yves Confuron at the helm, working with old vines and traditional methods that emphasise minimal intervention. Vineyards are farmed without herbicides and with low yields, ensuring fruit of depth and character. In the cellar, fermentations are carried out with whole bunches, and élevage takes place in oak, with a restrained use of new barrels to allow the site to speak clearly.

Mazis-Chambertin is known for its concentration and structure, and Confuron-Cotetidot’s version is no exception. Each vintage brings aromas of dark fruit, earth, and spice, with notes of black cherry, blackberry, and savoury undertones. On the palate, the wine offers intensity and length, carried by firm yet refined tannins. It is a wine that rewards patience, unfolding complexity over time in bottle.
