Domaine Rossignol-Février is a respected family estate in Volnay, with generations of experience crafting wines that reflect the village’s varied terroirs. The Premier Cru site Les Robardelles sits on the mid-slope, where well-drained limestone and clay soils produce Pinot Noir of structure and depth. In 2017, conditions favoured balance and purity, allowing the domaine to work with carefully selected, hand-harvested fruit. Vinification was traditional, with fermentation in open vats and ageing in French oak barrels, a proportion of which were new, to build complexity without dominating the wine’s character.

This Volnay 1er Cru shows a delicate interplay of red and dark fruit, alongside savoury and earthy notes that develop with time in bottle. The palate is supple yet precise, with lifted acidity and finely woven tannins. A wine that demonstrates both the generosity of the vintage and the elegance for which Volnay is renowned.
