Lucien le Moine Romanée-St-Vivant Grand Cru

Domaine Lucien Le Moine, founded by Mounir and Rotem Saouma in 1999, has become one of Burgundy’s most respected small producers. Working only with Grand Cru and Premier Cru parcels, the domaine focuses on limited production, highlighting terroir through meticulous élevage.

Romanée-St-Vivant is one of Vosne-Romanée’s most celebrated vineyards, with its limestone-rich soils and gentle slopes producing wines renowned for their perfume, depth, and long ageing potential. In 2022, fruit from this revered site was handled with the domaine’s hallmark precision: natural yeast fermentations, élevage in new French oak barrels, no racking, and extended lees contact to enhance texture and aromatic complexity. Bottling is always unfined and unfiltered, ensuring purity of expression.

The 2022 release embodies the hallmark characteristics of the vineyard, featuring lifted floral and spice notes on the nose, accompanied by layers of red and black fruit, fine structure, and a long, savoury finish on the palate.
