Domaine Marc Antonin Blain is the next generation of a great Chassagne family. Marc-Antonin, grandson of the late Jean-Marc Blain, has taken over small parcels once part of Domaine Blain-Gagnard, including La Boudriotte: a Premier Cru that borders Morgeot and often shows a more mineral, focused side of Chassagne. The vines, now mature, are tended with minimal intervention and low yields. Fermentation takes place in oak, with a restrained use of new barrels to retain freshness and precision. La Boudriotte Blanc offers citrus and white-stone fruit aromas, underpinned by subtle spice and a hint of struck flint. The palate has drive and texture, showing both breadth and tension: a hallmark of the site. It is a wine that gains depth with age, balancing fruit purity and fine oak influence, and continues to affirm Marc-Antonin's quiet reputation as one of Burgundy's rising names.
