Floris Chardonnay is a modern and engaging expression of the variety. The emphasis is on balance, freshness and pleasure, with grapes coming from a sustainably farmed vineyard in the cool southern end of Margaret River. Floris was fermented and matured for 10 months in (one-third new) French oak barriques (228 litres), with partial MLF and regular lees stirring for complexity and texture. The wine typically shows delicate textures and floral notes reminiscent of white flowers. Flavours echo stone fruit with a grapefruit citrus lift.
