Elanto Vineyard Chardonnay, Mornington Peninsula

The Elanto Chardonnay comes from select vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula, a region known for its cool maritime climate and ideal conditions for premium Chardonnay. The fruit is hand-picked to preserve freshness and balance, then whole-bunch pressed for purity of flavour. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, with a portion undergoing wild fermentation to build texture and complexity. The wine is matured on fine lees, with occasional stirring, to enhance mouthfeel and integrate the oak influence.

Each vintage offers a clear expression of the region, typically showing aromas of citrus, white stone fruit and subtle floral notes, supported by hints of almond and spice from the barrel work. The palate is finely structured, with layers of lemon, peach and a gentle savoury edge, carried by bright acidity. Elanto Chardonnay reflects careful vineyard selection and thoughtful winemaking, delivering a wine of clarity and focus that will reward both immediate enjoyment and short-term cellaring.
