Fontodi Chianti Classico

Fontodi is a benchmark producer in the heart of Chianti Classico, based in Panzano’s famed “Conca d’Oro” or Golden Basin. The organically farmed vineyards sit at altitude, with a natural amphitheatre of slopes providing ideal conditions for Sangiovese. Under the stewardship of the Manetti family, Fontodi has become one of Tuscany’s most respected names.

This Chianti Classico is made entirely from estate-grown Sangiovese. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by maturation in large French oak casks to preserve fruit purity while adding structure and complexity.

Each vintage shows the hallmarks of its origin: lifted aromas of cherry, redcurrant, and dried herbs, with savoury notes of leather and spice. The palate offers bright acidity, fine tannins, and a long, balanced finish. It is a versatile wine, equally suited to drinking on release or cellaring to develop further depth over time.
