Flaccianello della Pieve is the flagship wine of Fontodi, crafted entirely from Sangiovese grown in the Conca d’Oro, a natural amphitheatre of vineyards in the heart of Chianti Classico. The Manetti family has farmed this land organically for generations, focusing on expressing the unique character of their high-altitude sites.

The wine is produced using only the finest parcels of Sangiovese, with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel before maturation in French oak barriques for up to 24 months. This approach strikes a balance and adds complexity while preserving varietal purity.

Each vintage offers aromas of dark cherry, plum, and floral notes, supported by hints of spice and earth. The palate shows depth and structure, with firm yet refined tannins and a long, layered finish. Flaccianello has become one of Tuscany’s most collectible wines, sought after for both immediate drinking pleasure and long-term cellaring potential.
