About this wine
G.H.MUMM RSRV Cuvee Lalou, Champagne
Of the 12 specific plots in the Maison Mumm vineyard, equally distributed between Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, seven were selected for the unique blend of RSRV Lalou. These seven Grand Cru wines were previously pressed separately, and then vinified one by one. In line with Maison Mumm’s uncompromising standards, a 10-year ageing period and a dosage of 6 grams per litre fully reveal their complex and elegant aromas. An elegant mineral departure, opening out into sweet pastry notes the Lalou portrays aromas of candied lemon and pear marmalade, complemented by gourmet notes of vanilla, with hints of toast and brioche. As the wine develops, it demonstrates great length on the palate, combining fullness and freshness.

Expert Review
James Suckling
A dense and rich prestige cuvée with intense, bread-dough, cooked-apple and pear character on the nose and palate. Compact and very rich with so much going on. Full body. Solid, creamy center palate.

This luxury cuvée has developed slowly and surely into beautiful maturity. Richness harks back to the full Pinot Noir fruits that are now transformed with age. Now at its peak, this wine is ready to drink.
