About this wine

Gosset Celebris Blanc de Blancs, Champagne

Gosset's Celebris Blanc de Blancs represents the pinnacle of this historic house's pursuit of precision and longevity. Founded in 1584, Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne, known for its insistence on natural malolactic avoidance and extended lees ageing to preserve freshness and structure. Celebris is drawn exclusively from Grand Cru Chardonnay vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, Avize, Cramant, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, reflecting the tension and depth of these chalk-rich sites.

The wine is vinified and matured in small stainless-steel vats to retain clarity of fruit, followed by over a decade of lees ageing before release. The nose typically shows citrus, white flowers and chalk, evolving towards almond, brioche and saline minerality with time. The palate is fine-boned and energetic, carried by tightly woven acidity and a long, savoury finish. It is Champagne for those who value finesse, purity and measured power over opulence.
