About this wine

Gosset Celebris Rose Extra Brut, Champagne

Gosset's Celebris Rosé Extra Brut sits at the pinnacle of this historic house's range, a cuvée released only in vintages that reach exceptional balance. Founded in 1584, Gosset is Champagne's oldest wine house, known for retaining its wines' natural freshness by avoiding malolactic fermentation. The Celebris Rosé is typically built on a base of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Grand Cru vineyards, including Aÿ and Ambonnay, chosen for depth and tension rather than overt fruit. The wine is matured extensively on lees before release, lending a fine texture and savoury complexity.

Each release shows a quiet power: aromas of redcurrant, citrus and toasted brioche, with a palate that layers chalky precision over delicate red fruit and spice. It's a Champagne of poise and drive, structured for longevity yet seamless enough to enjoy now with refined dishes or on its own as a statement of craftsmanship.

ABOUT THE WINERY
Gosset
Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne founded in Aÿ in 1584. The vast majority of fruit sourced is from Premier cru and Grand Cru vineyards purchased from growers throughout the Marne department. Gosset steadfastly avoids malo-lactic fermentation and employs low dosage across the range to create a house style that is fresh and lively consistently exhibiting creamy complexity and underlying signature chalky minerality.
