HARDY'S Tintara Upper Tintara Shiraz, McLaren Vale 2016 Bottle
About this wine
Hardys Upper Tintara Shiraz McLaren Vale
From the premium stable of Hardys Tintara Sub-Regional series comes the Upper Tintara Shiraz. This range has a singular goal of allowing the nuances of McLaren Vale’s sub regions shine, and the terroir of the Upper Tintara is manifest in this sublime Shiraz.
Sourced from high-grade vines chosen for their exceptional fruit, this is a Shiraz of gorgeous purity, a millefeuille of red and black fruits, and a touch of spice. It’s deep and rich, with whispers of mocha, olives and charcuterie meats. The real surprise is a dance-on-the-palate acidity. Fully formed, but still refreshing, it will elegantly reward 15 years of cellaring.

Stakes its claim with its sub-regional expression and a beating heart from its 100+yo vines. There's an extraordinary depth of flavour and yet utter restraint; with its perfume, layers of red and black fruits, a dusting of spice and warm iron shavings, this is most definitely savoury in outlook. Fine tannins and mouthwatering freshness to the acidity all dance across the palate.

An excellent shiraz that has a wealth of intense blackberries and dark plums, laced with espresso and some meaty nuances. The palate has great depth and richness. Long and composed.
