Established in 1997 in the Upper Yarra Valley, Hoddles Creek Estate has built an enviable reputation for delivering one of the best value propositions in Australian wine. From his homebase in the Upper Yarra Valley Franco D’Anna crafts wines that share a sense of place while showcasing all that we love about the varieties he works with. The Wickhams Road Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley blends fruit from Upper Yarra Valley growers with experimental blocks from the Hoddles Creek Estate vineyard. Franco uses whole bunches in the ferment to add spice and fine tannins, leaving the wine on skins for twenty days for added complexity. Bottled without fining or filtration this is a superb rendition of drink now Yarra Valley pinot noir.
